Starting on July 1, 2013 we will be offering training sessions for athletes in Central Ohio. Each plan is based on a 4 day per week training schedule. The plan is 200 dollars per month which is about 12.50 per session. A very reasonable price for the quality of training received. The training will be primarily for 100,200 and 400 meter runners and will be conducted by former professional sprinter Mark Lattimore. To ensure that your athlete receives the proper amount of attention we will limit our group to 20 athletes on a first come first serve basis. Each session will have a maximum of 5 athletes. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at mlattimore@runrecruits.com

This year’s Mason invite appears to be shaping up to be a distance showdown on both the girls and the boys side of things. The Mason teams appear strong, but so too do the challengers, especially the Wayne girls along with Gahanna Lincoln. On the boy’s side, the LaSalle squad has a lot of strong pieces, as do the Wayne and Westerville teams and never count out Saint Xavier as they come off of their State Championship XC season. The most complete team appears to be Centerville, but they are still holding their cards until the post season as is their tradition. Overall, both the girls and the boy's competition appears to be loaded, and should provide a great post season test as these squads gear up for the end-of-the-season run.

It’s been a pleasure having the opportunity to interview some of Ohio’s and the Nation’s best Cross Country and Track & Field Athletes. Most have moved on to pursue their educations and to compete at the next level. We reached out to our interviewee’s and asked them what their experience has been at the next level. Many have gotten back and shared their athletic experiences to date, as well as what their expectations were, some recommendations and also the realities of competing at the next level.
