Bianca Stuart, coming off her national championship last week, headed up to Canada today to compete in the Harry Jermone International Classic. That meet, way out west in British Columbia, is one of the first two meets in the new professional series in called the National Track League--Canada's attempt to attract world-class professional athletes much like the Diamond League in Europe.
Stuart was the lone Bahamian in the meet and beat out former Canadian national record-holder Krysha Bayley with a jump of 6.64 meters (21-9.5) to better her mark from BAAA Nationals by four inches. That mark tied her personal best from earlier in the season.
