Shaunae Miller took gold today at the IAAF World Youth Championships in France. Her time of 51.84 got her the victory in the 400 over the world's finest youth one-lappers. It is the second medal ever won by Team Bahamas at World Youth, Nivea Smith won bronze in 2007, and the first gold medal for the country. Congrats to Shaunae and The Bahamas!
Her winning time is a new National Junior Record, breaking her own record time from BAAA Nationals by .01 from a week ago.

- Boys 200 Prelims: Stephen Newbold won his heat in 21.40, which makes him the top seed going into the semis. Anthony Adderly was not able to advance out of heat five, finishing fourth in 22.64.
- Boys 400 Finals: Andre Wells finished in sixth place with a 47.22.
- Girls 200 Prelims: Carmiesha Cox finished second in her heat seven with a time or 24.25 that will advance her to the semis.
- Boys 110 Hurdles Semis: Kirk Lewis ran a 14.52 for 8th place in heat three.
- Boys Triple Jump: Latario Collie-Minns had the best qualifying round jump of the day with a 15.61 meters (51-2.75), while his twin brother Lathone hit a 15.16 meters (49-8.75) that also passes him through to the next round.
