The FHSAA is proud to announce that the partnership with the University of North Florida has been extended through the 2015 year. As part of the agreement, the FHSAA Track and Field Finals is moving to a one-weekend format in which the state meet for all four classifications will be held, with two classifcations competing each day. This new format will allow spectators to see more track and field action and provide a larger crowd for the all student-athletes involved. The 2014 FHSAA Track and Field Finals are scheduled to be held on May 2-3, 2014 on the beautiful campus of the University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium. We are excited about filling the stands with track and field fans from all over the state!
The current qualification procedure will remain the same along with all district and region dates. Therefore, Class 1A and 2A will have a “bye-week” before the state meet. The time schedule and date each classification will compete is currently being finalized and will be posted on the FHSAA Track and Field website once completed.
