ALL AMERICANS Feb 2, 2008

A number of organizations annually designate high school track and field ‘All-American’ athletes, but only one bases its selections upon more than a single mark or meet winning/placing performance. That selector, Track & Field News, has, for each of the past 33 years, chosen an elite group of high school athletes as its ‘All-American’ team. Inclusion on this team is determined, first and foremost, by the athletes’ performance in competition(s) against his or her national caliber peers. Singular marks, if not supported by an outstanding national competitive record, are given little weight. Five WashingtonState high school track and fields athletes were accorded the honor of being chosen 2007 ‘All-Americans’ by T & FN.
