Charlton Chooses Clemson

Nassau sprint and hurdle sensation Devynne Charlton has made her decision! After the spring track season is complete, she will be attending Clemson University.

After much deliberation and prayer, Devynne and the Charlton family have decided that joining the Lady Tigers will be the best bet for her athletic and academic future. Charlton is coming off of a fantastic high school junior season where she was the dominant junior 100 meter hurdler in the country and even against top international competition, such as her 13.86 victory at Golden South in Orlando, Florida. Against the best of the best, she finished sixth in the 100 meter dash and fifth in the 100 meter hurdles at the Olympic Trials.

At Clemson, Devynne will be under the tuteledge of Lawrence Johnson, one of the most reknowned hurdle coaches in the United States. The university has offered her a full ride and her family and the entire Bahamas track & field community could not be prouder for her!

Congratulations and good luck at the next level!
